Scope

This policy applies when you browse avbidsignal.com, request alerts, create or use an account, start a trial or paid subscription, save opportunities, or contact support.

AV BidSignal is a business service for commercial AV professionals. It does not sell personal information or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Email address and alert preferences when you request bid alerts.
• Name, email address, and account identifier supplied through the sign-in service.
• Company profile details such as service states, manufacturers, certifications, project range, and excluded work.
• Saved opportunities and bid-review decisions you choose to record.
• Messages and information you send to support.

Billing information

Polar acts as the billing provider and merchant of record for Professional subscriptions. AV BidSignal receives identifiers and subscription status needed to activate access. AV BidSignal does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Product and technical activity

AV BidSignal records first-party product activity such as page paths, button and form events, a random session identifier, referral host, campaign parameters, and timestamps. Hosting, security, authentication, and billing providers may also process device and network information, including IP address, as necessary to deliver and protect their services.

How we use information

• Provide public opportunity listings, personalized shortlists, alerts, saved items, and account access.
• Process trials, subscriptions, cancellations, and billing status.
• Measure which pages and acquisition campaigns are useful.
• Deliver transactional messages, requested alerts, and the related trial nurture sequence.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and improve the service.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms of Use.

When information is shared

Information is shared only as needed to operate the service or satisfy legal and safety obligations. Current categories of recipients include:

• Cloudflare for hosting, application execution, storage, networking, and security.
• OpenAI-hosted sign-in services for authentication and account identity.
• Polar and its payment processors for checkout, tax, billing, refunds, and subscription administration.
• Resend and underlying email-delivery providers for requested alerts and service messages.
• Professional advisers, authorities, or counterparties when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or a business transaction.

When you open an official procurement source, that third-party site receives the normal information associated with visiting its service and applies its own privacy policy.

Retention and security

Information is retained while needed to provide the service, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by record type. Billing providers may retain transaction records under their own legal obligations.

AV BidSignal uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from marketing and alert emails using the link included in every message.
• Update Professional matching preferences in account settings.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting support.
• Cancel a paid subscription through the billing controls made available with your subscription.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information. AV BidSignal will not discriminate against you for making a valid privacy request. Identity may be verified before a request is completed.

Children and international use

The service is not directed to children under 18, and AV BidSignal does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by service providers.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through the service or email.
